Ana Colagrossi, President and Founder
Little Raggio Shoes, manufacturers classic European-influenced handmade children's shoes. Founded in 2002 by Brazilian, Ana Colagrossi, Raggio is the designer's maiden name, which means "ray" of sun in Italian. Ana’s diverse background includes studying in Brazil and Switzerland, earning a Master’s degree in Psychology at New York University and working with children in both Brazil and the US.
After the birth of her third child, Ana decided to take a break from her
professional career in order to focus her time and energies on raising her three
children. With constant family trips to Brazil she was continually moved by the work of Brazilian shoes craftsmen and developed a personal passion to create her own business in the United States. Inspired by her own kids, a collection of handmade shoes for children was conceived. The business perfectly answered her desire to continue working with children while utilizing her creative talents in design and art.
Ana's vision for Little Raggio comes from what she saw as a clear void in the children's shoe market for classic and fashion shoes designed especially for children and their lifestyles. The collection combines the fine art of shoemaking with unique styling, craftsmanship, and the finest materials.
Ana Colagrossi and her associate, Andrea Fraleigh reside with their husbands and children in Greenwich, CT.
Little Raggio is currently being sold in fine boutiques across the US, Europe
